Lt. Col. Bob Bowman Urges Civility

Lt. Col. Bob Bowman, speaking on Kevin Barrett's "9/11 and Empire" radio show on WTPRN Radio Network, Dec. 11th, 2007 in Hour 1 of this 2 hour show.

Dr. Bob Bowman urges activists to "be as professional, responsible and courteous as possible, as opposed to obnoxious, if we're going to make more inroads!" (ie civility)

Partial Transcript follows.
Kevin Barrett:
"The last time you were on the show, we talked about, the question of, how to get up in the faces of people in public, to raise the issues of 9/11 (and they are being suppressed everywhere) and since then, there have been all sorts of these events in which people, ranging from Bill and Hillary Clinton, to of course Rudy Giuliani (who gets 9/11 Truth people in his face everywhere he shows it) to even Bill Maher, who was interrupted on live TV. And in fact, I actually rather politely did question Amy Goodman about Building 7 on a very popular YouTube video. So, you know, last time you were arguing that people bullhorning Amy Goodman were barking up the wrong tree. Ah, can you sort of reiterate your thoughts on this issue, of how to confront people in public, given that this is the 11th of the month, and people all over the world have been out doing public actions for 9/11 Truth visibility ?

Bob Bowman:
"Yeah, I think we have to do public actions. I think we have to make our voices heard. But the establishment has tried to paint us as a bunch of kooks and wild-eyed crazies, and, we don't want to come across that way. And I think that, by being just as professional and responsible as we possibly can, and courteous, we're going to make more inroads than if we get obnoxious. Now, you know, I would be very tempted myself to get obnoxious with Rudy Giuliani, I think he deserves it. But I think for example that, to get obnoxious with Bill Clinton is a losing proposition, because, let's face it, he is a very popular guy, and I don't think we're gonna win friends that way. So I think we have to be very careful, very selective, and very thoughtful in deciding what actions to go forward with."

911Truth.org advocates "Civility"

A Commitment to More Civil and Effective Collaboration in the 9/11 Truth Movement

"Because we still lack subpoena and discovery powers, members of the 9/11 truth movement and American citizens as a whole will not be able to fully connect the "dots" of 9/11 events until key classified documents and videos are leaked or released. In the meantime, many of us will develop theories about those events and what really occurred. Given the incompleteness of the facts at hand, our theories will invariably differ. They therefore can and should be sincerely discussed and analyzed, but this debate must not obscure the reality that the investigative tasks we face still remain extremely challenging.

We believe our campaign to expose the truth of 9/11 offers the world more essential insights into current political and economic reality than any other modern movement and therefore can empower the most profound social transformation of our age. This work is far too important to debilitate with egotism, zealotry or self-inflicted wounds, and we must make every effort to sustain the unprecedented progress we have made.

Because the 9/11 truth movement presents grave moral, legal and political threats to those in power, we would be naïve to not anticipate covert governmental intervention in our activities and attempts to divide, disrupt and discredit us by promoting hateful or repellant theories and sowing internal discord. Indeed, the greatest risk these forces pose to our work is not espionage or disinformation; it is the provocation of destructive mistrust between authentic activists.

We the undersigned therefore commit ourselves to work together towards our greater goals with the least possible rancor and internal strife. We agree to reject ad hominem denunciations and attacks upon others' motives, and focus our critical attention upon the logic, factual evidence and probability supporting certain hypotheses instead. Our ultimate goal must be the full disclosure of 9/11 truth, which is disserved by factional warfare on behalf of partial points of view. We will strive to fill in the gaps of the evidentiary record, so that facts dictate our conclusions rather than conjecture or emotional charges and appeals.

Finally, since we ourselves must embody the societal changes we wish to see, we vow to continue our work with fierce devotion, but also with mutual respect, selflessness and above all, honesty."

9-11 Research Advocates Civility

"Given the high visibility of the websites 911Research.WTC7.net, WTC7.net, and 911Review.com, it is not surprising that their URLs would be turning up in many places as a result of entirely independent efforts. We commend the work of individuals to promote these websites and thereby increase the reach of the information they contain. At the same time, we urge people to undertake such promotion in a way that is respectful and intelligent.

9-11 Research has received several complaints from ungrateful recipients of literature mentioning it. We even received a report of graffiti spelling out the companion site 911Review.com. It is tempting to think that the urgency of the message justifies intrusive campaigning methods. However, such methods are likely to be counterproductive. We recommend handing out literature, such as we provide here, as the best way of distributing it.

In early 2006 we became aware of a number of incidents connecting promotion of these websites with militance and vulgarity. We strongly discourage such tactics and note that they are counterproductive to our educational mission. We describe some of the incidents we have learned of on pages with specific disclaimers. "

Civil Information(ing) The 98% Solution!

by Robin Hordon

At this stage of our country, we have two major parties: The Republicans, and The Republicans dressed in blue drag...and when the blue suits come off, these fake democrats are standing there in red Armani underwear bought for them by the very same corporations who have purchased, and now fully own the Republican Party. Its just the way it is...John Perkins calls it the "Corporatocracy".

But, they do not have enough votes to stay atop for too much longer.

The hard truth is that only 2% of this country runs, finances, profits and controls this country, and THAT is why they have had to hack the voting machines for the last 15-20 years. In the end it will be The 98% Solution" that straightens out this ship of unstate. "The 98% Solution" is where those now RULED by the 2% in charge, will eventually regain control of our own country by peacefully, non-confrontationally, and continuously becoming our own media, becoming our own educators, becoming our own activists, and becoming our own political forces. This process was best put by the "non-confrontational" folks within WAC-Seattle where the word, "PURGE" came up regarding what to do with our current political leaders.

And this is where the real long term influence, [for centuries to come as far as I am concerned], of the 9/11 Truth Movement is making a the biggest difference of all...EVER!

The 9/11 Truth Movement is the vanguard of modern day activism, of modern day public information dissemination, and of modern day "personalization" of the Internet. We personalize the keyboards and computer screens because we are out in the streets doing so many one-on-ones...we are bringing "faces and people" to the billions of information bites available in the web world.

This is why it is so important to think well ahead of any emotional, confrontational, and aggressive actions and activities when in public. WE are the face of modern activism, and it works a lot better with a smile and a nice hello. And WE are the face of courageous patriots who want their country back. And WE are the face of the unending search for truth and justice. And WE have the world's most volatile and difficult event to educate the world about. And WE...are actually doing this...a bunch of turtles seducing folks into a rabbit hole. I think that one of the world's oldest living creatures is a turtle...don't know the life span of a rabbit...but I know who is winning!

Of course, we could change the original tactics [peaceful-informational] while in public that got the 9/11TM to where it is as some want to do now. We could do what the peace movements did in the 60s...confront everything...be disobedient as a daily staple of public conduct...slap-dash GOON squads together to get in the faces of the 2% who rule us...and off-put the very people who we want to join our cause-our fellow citizens. We certainly could drive regular people away from our amazing journey...just like the "disobedients" and "non-violencers" and "confronters" did in the LAST CENTURY...some 40+ years ago.

And how did that go by the way?...hmmm...the peace movement...40 years of work...more war and militarization now than then...progressives at the top levels of the peace movements...hmmm...perhaps not the best model to emulate, but we COULD still do it! And some are.

But really, I think that its best to to what the original 9/11 Truthers did getting us up to "The 36% Solution". And that is to educate, to inform to meet and greet...and to activate some of the the 98% of the people out here. [Well, there is about 25% of those hopeless citizens identified by John Dean, and we have to simply ignore them whenever they stand up on their hind legs..]. We should continue to let information and truth seeking do the work within the overall populace...us folks who are at the tail end of the tail.

The Progressive Left...a troubled clan of folks many of whom hide who they really are...

In 2000, this country sent a "new" combination of politicians to WDC to protect us and serve our chosen needs as a new governing body. They failed totally, and therefore they are ALL guilty in this failure. So, when you find that the progressive left is pushing the 9/11 Truthers and our movement away, its because if they DID create an honest investigation, funded it, made it totally independent, and abided by its findings, many would be found guilty.

When someone a few weeks ago stated about politicians in WDC that "they all know about the deep aspects of the truth surrounding the events on 9/11"...that conclusion is quite correct. Maybe these folks in "The 2% Ruling Class" do not know all the intricacies that we do [certainly some do], BUT without any doubt, they do know that 9/11 happened on THEIR WATCH. They also fully know that almost all of them have military and big corporate money in their bank accounts.

The 9/11 Truth Movement is the quintessential model of truth seeking and informing the public about important issues that need to be addressed in this country. And it will be far more effective without using the attitudes of confrontation so soundly proven to be a failure in fourty years of peace movement activities.

And as a reference...out of the 60s came the environmental movement, the women's rights movement, the anti-nuke movement, and the civil rights movement...and they are still making either good, or OK progress of some kind. Why? Its because they have never stopped educating the public and establishing a political base to help shape the political landscape...usually in civil mannerisms...like in high schools and churches [hint].

Its the INFORMATION BABY!
Its being CIVIL BABY!

I'm into being the change that one wants to be...

...an its a blast being in public, in being civil, and getting more and more people get to hang out together.

That's where we will build up to "The 98% Solution"...so...lets be cool, lets be informative, lets be civil, lets be our own media, lets ignore those media whores, lets be very, very thoughtful before we act and think long term, and lets make some great friends for our future.

Love, Peace and Progress with:

Welcome message

Welcome to the new Home of 9/11 Civil Information Activism.

This blog is operated jointly by Robin Hordon, Wayne Prante and Richard (Doug) Brinkman. Other CI activists will be invited to join and to post articles, success stories and commentaries, or they can contact us and ask to be a blogger here.

We will discuss our own thoughts about activism, what works, and what does not, as well as why or why not. We will also look critically at what we see as inappropriate, ineffective actions, or harmful ones and explain why. Not simply to be critical, but because we care about the movement and want it to succeed, and we want activists to succeed. Success being defined as: "what was the net result?" and "who benefited?"

We have many professionals from many backgrounds and expertise in the 9/11 Truth Movement who have risked a lot to speak out and to join with us in exposing the fraud that has been perpetrated upon the world, and we hope that many more will join us. We feel, therefore, that it is important for activists to also be as professional as possible, to ensure that our credibility grows, and that the momentum of the movement continues, and that it is a safe place for professionals and celebrities, etc to hang their hat publicly.

We are not gods, we are not perfect and do not profess to have all the answers, but we do feel we have right and a duty to speak out and to offer our own views, and not simply go along to get along. Obviously we also feel strongly that C.I. is the best way to go, for many reasons that we will outline here.

We are not trying to be dividers, but rather looking for commonality and strategies we can all agree on, to make the movement more effective and continue to draw people to it, rather than chase them away. We hope that we can be a "voice of reason".

We have found that our previous attempts to have logical and reasoned debate about activism issues have been roundly attacked with immature, knee jerk personal attacks, and in some cases censored. Now we have our own place to openly discuss these issues.
